Seidl explained why Audi chose Hulkenberg.
Sauber CEO Andreas Seidl commented on the signing of Haas driver Nico Hulkenberg.
The German driver, who worked with Seidl at Porsche at the victorious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015, will join Sauber next season, which will become the Audi factory team from 2026.
Obviously, with such close competition, getting the best pair of pilots is a matter of paramount importance. It also makes sense for the future Audi factory team to be in the cars already in 2025 and support the project from the very beginning.

Seidl commented on rumors of Audi`s generous offer to Ferrari`s Carlos Sainz:
Of course, our approach is not to motivate pilots or other employees with huge sums. In fact, we have the financial resources of the top team, but we really think about how to use every franc or euro wisely and effectively.
Andreas also answered the question of whether Niko`s partner would be an experienced athlete or a junior:
It makes sense to invite at least one experienced rider, because we will face many challenges. So it could be two experienced pilots or an experienced one paired with a strong novice.
