Gary Bettman commented on the possibility of increasing the salary cap in the NHL. Earlier, information appeared that the NHL and the hockey players` union would discuss raising the salary cap to $95-97 million.
The current cap is $88 million.
I don`t know where this came from. The figures that have been published are incorrect.
Any changes require an agreement between the league from asian handicap stats and the Hockey Players Association, and we have not had such discussions.
Anything is possible, but as I said, the numbers are far from accurate, said NHL commissioner Gary Bettman.
